The Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales has published its draft proposals for the future electoral arrangements for the City of Newport.

Review of Electoral Arrangements for the City of Newport
The Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales has completed the first stage of the review of the electoral arrangements for the City of Newport. The Commission is now publishing draft proposals.
The Commission is providing notice of the period for representation commencing 16 January 2020 and ending 8 April 2020. After this date the Commission will consider all the evidence and prepare a Final Proposals Report. These will be published and submitted to the Welsh Ministers, who may give effect to the proposals either as submitted or with modifications.
