Food Hygiene Rating Scheme
Newport City Council has adopted the National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.
We visit food outlets to check hygiene standards and operating procedures which are rated on a scale from 0 (urgent improvement necessary) to 5 (very good).
These ‘scores on doors’ indicate how hygienic and well-managed the food preparation is.
The venues listed on this website have been inspected and achieved a rating of 3 (generally satisfactory) or more.
