Apply For or Renew a Permit
Coronavirus COVID-19: residents will not be penalised for failing to display a resident parking permit during this period.
Permits cost £30.00 per year per vehicle.
You can apply online or in person at Newport Information Station.
If you're applying for a company car permit you need to bring a letter on company headed paper detailing the car, make, model and registration number along with the driver’s name and address.
You can also renew your permit at the Information Station, please bring your:
- renewal letter
- recent proof of address
- either your log book or insurance details
Applying in person
If you would rather apply in person at the Information Station please bring:
- proof of address, e.g. a current utility bill, council tax bill, mortgage offer, solicitors offer or tenancy agreement
- either the vehicle registration document or insurance (which must show the applicant’s address for which the permit corresponds) or new keeper slip. If a vehicle has recently been purchased, a temporary permit will be issued for one month until the return of the vehicle registration document
- maximum of two temporary permits will be issued per vehicle
